I live in Amsterdam West near the Jordaan. After all my wanderings I decided to choose my new home in this city - especially because of its international and liberal character. I cycle to the cosy Ten Kate market in the Kinkerbuurt and am within 5 minutes in the Vondelpark or on the Leidseplein. A little further is the Westerpark or the Amsterdamse Bos. Previously I lived in the Baarsjes near the Mercatorplein, where there are fewer tourists, who now have to stow this city in large numbers.
It is great to have Surinamese, Turkish and Moroccan neighbours and shops in this neighbourhood in my neighbourhood. Now I can finally make all my recipes again, because all the difficult ingredients are for sale. In the Rembrandtpark you can train well in the summer without the bustle of the Vondelpark.
A little further away, I can breathe fresh air with my road bike. The Amsterdamse Bos or the Kennemerduinen can be reached by road bike. On a summer day I would like to make a detour along Ruigoord.
In Amsterdam North there are also nice places for a terrace, such as the Noorderlicht Café on the IJ, the café space or relax in Noorderpark
Enough to discover in my bustling city.
